The present study aims to reflect on the professionalization of bachelors in the classroom, that is, people with a Bachelor's degree level, but who work or want to work as teachers. This study is supported by Anastasiou (2005), Libâneo (2011), Tardiff (2002), among other authors to understand how the formation of the bachelor while teaching and its professionalization occurs, showing the competences and skills worked and developed, or not, during their formation. Allied to the theoretical discussion, we carried out a study with the Graduate Program in Education at the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS), investigating the paths of the bachelors who sought to continue their training in that program, identifying links with education, teaching and career enhancements. Of the 160 graduates of the program, 48 have a single bachelor's degree, and of these, 37 have a professional career related to teaching. We highlight the importance of the search for training in the educational field by bachelors who work as teachers, whether in teacher training courses or even in graduate programs, which do not aim to prepare for teaching but for research, but which can contribute reflection on Education and professional practice. Finally, it is salutary that the institutions offer training to their teachers, as a form of continuous qualification, improving methodologies, updating themselves with technologies and contributing to the praxis regarding the teaching and learning processes. How to Cite
