In this qualitative case study, we analyze the learning experiences of adolescents visiting an interactive science museum, Espacio Ciencia, in Uruguay with friends. Sixteen adolescents participated in the study, divided into five groups of friends. The visits were recorded using the point of view method, which consists of capturing video audio through a subjective camera attached to the head of one of the adolescents during the visit. Audiovisual records were analyzed using a protocol that identifies the types of interactions and conversations that took place between visitors and the exhibition. As a result, our study provides evidence that interactivity, multiple opportunities for exploration, and collaboration among adolescents favored science-related practices such as observation, simulation, trial-and-error experimentation, and discussion of scientific issues with their friends and also with the mediators. Thus, we can infer that Espacio Ciencia, in addition to stimulating interest, supported the learning of adolescents. In addition, the study indicates that the physical and social context, the engagement process and the construction of meanings occurred in an interconnected way, contributing to the learning experiences.
