The basic measure of social exclusion introduced by international health authorities to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has economic and social ramifications. They illustrate the growth of insecurity and malnutrition, weakening the promise of food security and health. The National School Feeding Initiative is among the ongoing initiatives to alleviate the effects of hunger. This article aims to problematize the contribution of the National School Meals Program to guarantee food security through theoretical and critical reflections.How to Cite
