Abstract

The present work have the objective of making a quantitative analyses of patentes that bring technologies for treatment of hospital waste.The research was made through nacional databanks like the instituto nacional da propriedade industrial (INPI) and international with the world intellectual property (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) with the use of keywords. Brazil is one of the members of PCT (Patent Cooperation Treat), however even with this treat the USA and China still have bigger representativeness on the major patent systems.Taking in account that disposal of hospital residue is a recurring problem , it is important to incentivize the research for development of new techniques at a national level so as to grant autonomy on its production.
