Abstract
The objective of the research reported in the article was to verify the functionality associated with the interpersonal relationships of patients with Covid-19 12 months after discharge from the ICU. Regarding the method, the work is characterized as a cross-sectional and analytical study with a quantitative approach, developed based on primary data from patients at the Hospital Universitário Regional dos Campos Gerais, Paraná, Brazil. 32 patients were evaluated, who were divided into two groups: disabled and able. Through data mining, variables capable of explaining the “interpersonal relationships” domain in post-Covid-19 patients were identified. As a result, it was found that the most significant variables in this domain were related to depression, stroke and cognition, factors that interfere in the interpersonal relationships of patients affected by this comorbidity. In conclusion, the research demonstrated that difficulty concentrating, depressive symptoms, stroke, use of antibiotics during hospitalization and living conditions are appropriate variables to explain the change in functionality in interpersonal relationships.
