Abstract

Illustration or scientific drawing combines the knowledge of arts and sciences to contribute to the understanding and dissemination of knowledge of the world through an image that represents a reality, a study or a method. Illustrations are usually requested by teachers to students reports of practical disciplines, presentations and scientific research. They facilitate the didactics and understanding of experiments, techniques, methodological processes, as well as the recognition of the species that make up the global biodiversity, one of these areas of action of scientific illustration is parasitology. This technical work aimed to present a step by step process of illustrating fish parasites, addressing aspects of collection, fixation and preparation of parasites, addressing materials and techniques so that they can be illustrated, in order to assist technicians, students and beginning researchers. to enter this area.
