Abstract
This article presents an evaluation of the proposal for the framework of the Pão de Açúcar, Pedro Moura Júnior (Belo Jardim), and Engenheiro Severino Guerra (Bituri) and Bita (belonging to the Metropolitan Region of Recife) reservoirs in the Ipojuca River basin. in Pernambuco, through the ICE (Framework Conformity Index). This study was carried out based on the final report of the Proposal for the Framework of the Ipojuca River Basin (PEI), developed for the Pernambuco Water and Climate Agency (APAC) in 2019. The methodology consisted of consulting the PEI to identify the frameworks proposed referring to the stretches in which the reservoirs are located, according to a survey of systematic water monitoring data carried out by APAC, from 2011 to 2019, consultation with CONAMA Resolution No. 357 of 2005 and calculation of the ICE. It was observed that the reservoirs located in the Agreste presented a satisfactory result, that is, closer to meeting the framework indicated in the PEI, but indicating that there is a tendency to degrade water quality, when analyzing the annual variation of the ICE. On the other hand, it was identified that the Bita reservoir presented the most restrictive framework and the highest degree of pollution, resulting in the lowest ICE value among the studied reservoirs, which indicates greater distance in achieving the objectives of the framework indicated in the PEI.
