EXTRUSÃO ORTODÔNTICA DE DENTES TRAUMATIZADOS: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA.

Resumo

A Ortodontia é uma especialidade que atua sobre os casos de traumatismos dentários de diversas maneiras, uma dessas maneiras é a extrusão ortodôntica, a qual constitui um procedimento terapêutico no tratamento das invasões do espaço biológico em áreas onde existe envolvimento estético. O objetivo desse trabalho foi realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura, que buscou evidenciar e discutir as principais abordagens de tratamentos para casos de traumatismos dentários, e concluir como Ortodontia atua sobre esses casos, especificamente quando necessitam de extrusão ortodôntica para posterior tratamento estético-funcional; a partir de publicações científicas da Ortodontia indexadas na base de dados US National Library of Medicine - (PubMed) entre os meses de fevereiro e março de 2019. Seguindo os critérios de inclusão, totalizaram-se trinta e cinco (35) artigos, dos quais restaram 5 (cinco) após removidas as repetições num total de 28 artigos, e 2 artigos dos quais não foram possíveis a leitura na íntegra. Os dentes acometidos por lesões do tipo traumatismo aos tecidos duros dentais e à polpa, como, fratura coronária complicada e não complicada e fratura corono-radicular complicada; e traumatismo aos tecidos periodontais, como, a luxação intrusiva, necessitam, em sua grande maioria, de extrusão ortodôntica para posterior tratamento, e requerem, a interação da Ortodontia com demais especialidades da Odontologia, visando devolver tanto estética quanto funcionalidade e saúde periodontal.
