MICROEMPREENDEDOR INDIVIDUAL NO BRASIL: REGISTRO, OBRIGATORIEDADES E BENEFÍCIOS DESTA MODALIDADE EMPRESARIAL

Abstract

The creation of the Individual Microentrepreneur was of paramount importance for reducing the unemployment rate in which the country lives. Making an analogy with the informal street vendors who develop their economic activity on the streets or in their own homes, it is noteworthy to note that many do not have the proper knowledge on the subject addressed. As a result of this fact, the following question arises: What are the advantages and obligations that the entrepreneur acquires when becoming an Individual Microentrepreneur? Based on this question, the general objective of this research is to analyze the advantages that the individual microentrepreneur has for informal workers in Brazil and to demonstrate in a simplified way the formalization (openness) and the accessory obligations of this modality. However, for that, it follows as necessary: ​​list the requirements of this business modality; and list the necessary procedures, registration and formalization focusing on the rights and obligations assigned for a better understanding of the entrepreneur. Finally, it can be said that formalizing the MEI is extremely important for the entire population, as it will also guarantee social security for such entrepreneurs, at lower costs than if they were individual taxpayers.
