Abstract

The present article corresponds to a retrospective, quantitative and descriptive approach of the gloss index of exams in a private clinic in the city of Maceió/AL. The indicators were collected, from 2017 to 2019, based on medical bills generated through exams carried out by health plan users. Through these evidences, existing types of glosses were measured, which were classified as Administrative, Technical and Linear. Based on this identification, the application of administrative measures was initiated, making it possible to reduce disallowances and reduce costs with materials and medicines, through continuing education among health professionals, managers and the operational area.
