The Academic and intellectual production during the pandemic
evidence from the social network Facebook
Abstract
The pandemic situation brought as a direct implication the need for investment in science, increasing its importance. However, the same did not occur in the area of human sciences, despite the social distance established in order to contain the coronavirus and its implications for society, especially in education. Thus, this article aims to discuss the relevance of education to society based on the posts of three teachers on the social network Facebook. This research has a qualitative approach, and the methodology is applied from the framework of analysis “Systematizing the perception of image/text through the bias of critical thinking”, based on the concept of individual and society, as well as that of teaching knowledge. It is possible to notice that teachers, when publishing about their knowledge and practices, seek to go beyond sharing information and knowledge in their respective timelines, because as educators in a remote teaching network, they prioritize exposing their work, encouraging constructive dialogues, questioning regarding the situation the country finds itself in and reinventing its professional conduct amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and its variants.
