O PAPEL DO ASSISTENTE SOCIAL FRENTE A ADOÇÃO TARDIA

Abstract

It is noted that the Social Worker plays an important role within the Brazilian social context, in which he is linked in the instrumentalized mediation of actions that enable individuals to guarantee the rights achieved through intense claims. The objective of this work is to address the issue of late adoption, taking into account the role of the social worker in establishing the actions and relationships necessary for family and social cohesion. With regard to the composition of the methodology of this work, it is observed that from the point of view of the research method used, it is characterized by bibliographical research of a descriptive-explanatory order, with the theoretical survey being inserted from the conception of authors on such, for example, AMARAL (2007); BOCK (1999); CAMARGO (2006), with reading and understanding of the situational aspects and also consideration of data extracted on the website of the National Adoption Register. According to the National Council of Justice (CNJ), regarding the issue of adoption in the country, it was observed that from agreements with verified data referring to 2019, there were 42,403 applicants for adoption, in addition, 18.74% only they accept children up to 3 years of age, so it is clear that the problem of late adoption goes beyond the issue of childhood and youth, it is also expressed in the racial and affective issue. It is concluded that the adoption process in the late context is seen as one of the most relevant issues within the existing dynamics in Brazil.
