THE INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN COMBAT SPORTS PRACTICES
Abstract
This research is a bibliographic review that aims to identify and problematize how the inclusion of practices in combat sports for people with intellectual disabilities is carried out. Bringing a discussion about martial arts for people with disabilities in different contexts, in addition to discussing possibilities of pedagogical application of modalities that include adapted judo and adapted capoeira. intellectuals in the practices of adapted fights, and understand Physical Education as a possibility of inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. Starting from the question: how can combat sports practices help in the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities? The research had the objective of presenting the history of practices of Inclusive struggles. One of the main conclusions is that martial arts can bring numerous physical, emotional and social benefits to people with disabilities. Martial arts training can improve hand-eye coordination, strength, balance, and flexibility, as well as providing a stimulating and challenging physical activity. In addition, the practice of martial arts can increase self-confidence, discipline, concentration and self-defence.
