Abstract

The decision on what will be the sale price of the merchandise in e-commerce is fundamental for the company, as it aims at its continuity and competitiveness with its competitors. In this sense, the general objective of this article is to understand the importance of pricing strategies in this new business model. Therefore, management accounting is relevant, because through its tools, information and collected data, the best decision is made. In this way, possible errors that can generate incalculable losses are avoided. Furthermore, it uses cost management to understand, through its concepts of expenses, the costs and expenses, and how they impact the decisions taken. From this, we will analyze the discussions on pricing, the contributions to the expansion of performance, in order to make it efficient and competitive, increasing the generation of value for its consumers.
