Risk behaviors can be considered as potentially capable of threatening health and reducing quality of life. This is a cross-sectional, quantitative study aimed at verifying risk behaviors in health interns at a Brazilian university, carried out from September to December 2020. The sample consisted of 31 university students from the courses of medicine, nursing, physical education, pharmacy and dentistry. The Youth Risk Behavior Emerge(YRBS) was used. Risk behaviors were associated by the chi-square and Pearson tests. There was an association between age and risk behavior of riding a motorcycle without the use of a helmet or rarely (pX2 = 0.43) for males (pX2 = 0.37). A total of 25.8% of the sample seriously considered committing suicide and 16.1% planned suicide. The age group of 29 to 30 years 10 (33.3%) reported suicide attempt 1 time, being reported by 50.0% of the physical education trainees (pX2 = 0.046 and pX2 = 0.004). Risk behavior associated with sexual practice was significant between 29 and 30 years old and 10 (33.3%) reported having sex with 6 or more people in the physical education course, even with the social isolation of covid-19 (pX2 =0.03). There was a statement of sexual intercourse with more than 2 people in all courses in the sample. There was an association between the color and worsening of covid-19 with the occurrence of confirmation by a health professional and type of testing. The study shows that university students are vulnerable to risky behaviors, which points to a worrying future.
