Abstract

This article aims to address the use of playful tools in psychological care for children and adolescents victims of sexual violence, making a socio-historical cut of childhood and adolescence, describing their concepts, as well as making an outline about sexual violence and its types, in addition to the peculiarity of this violence when practiced against children and youth. Still, the role of the psychologist with victims of sexual violence is highlighted, emphasizing the importance of using play therapy as an intervention method in the care provided to this public. For the production of this article, a literature review was carried out with a narrative epidemiological approach through the following databases: Psychology Electronic Journals (PePSIC), and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO).
