Abstract

The present work presents a new perspective on the modern environment of informational saturation and how this scenario deteriorates the developmental capacity of young Brazilians in the following areas of life: professional, personal, and interpersonal. In this context, the focus is on how misinformation significantly alters the ability to think critically about reality, as well as how social media acts as a lever for fake news. Furthermore, the work addresses the consequences of a society deeply rooted in informational inadequacy. The study also explores the integration of legal knowledge within the current context of misinformation and how post-truth influences the behavioral patterns of younger generations. The qualitative method was employed in the structuring of the arguments presented in the article, as it sought explanations for fake news through human relationships. The goal is to shed light on the possibility of finding new paths toward a less harmful model of information transmission.
