Abstract

This article aims to clarify the contributions and changes brought by law 13.431/2017, which is responsible for the regulation of the Special Testimony, which aims to create mechanisms to prevent and restrain sexual violence against children and adolescents victims and / or witnesses, both from the perspective of Law, as well as in Psychology. A narrative literature review article was carried out, based on scientific articles available in the electronic databases, SciELO, PePSIC - VHL, books, booklets and master's dissertations, as well as the Specialized Listening and Special Testimony Law ( 2017), the Brazilian Constitution (1988), the Penal Code (1940) and the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA). Therefore, the implementation of the Special Testimony presents itself as a possibility of protection that aims to reduce the impacts generated on children and adolescents due to traditional interrogation. Promoting humanized treatment of victims of violence, specifically sexual violence.
