Buscou-se aprofundar os conhecimentos sobre a importância da literatura na aprendizagem e no emocional da criança, tendo em vista a sua alta empregabilidade no meio escolar. Utilizou-se como método o descritivo exploratório através do conhecimento direto da realidade, onde os professores sujeitos da pesquisa forneceram as informações através de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. A partir daí, foi discutido com os autores que escrevem sobre a temática. Concluiu-se com a prática da pesquisa e segundo alguns autores citados ao longo do trabalho, que os professores consideram que a literatura infantil contribui na facilitação da aprendizagem escolar além de ser uma forma de trabalhar com crianças a realidade através do simbolismo, onde a criança se identifica com as estórias por sentir a própria personificação de seus problemas infantis nos personagens das estórias. A criança inconscientemente supera seus medos expressando seus conflitos emocionais mais facilmente.</p><p><strong>Palavras-Chave</strong>: Literatura Infantil, Desenvolvimento, Aprendizagem, Emocional, Escola.</p><p> </p><p>Abstract</p><p>This study aimed to conduct field research on the contribution of children's literature in the social, emotional and cognitive development of the child. Sought to deepen the knowledge about the importance of literature on learning and child emotional, given its high employment in schools. It was used as the descriptive exploratory method with direct knowledge of reality, where the subject teachers of the research provided the information through semi-structured interviews. From there, it was discussed with</p><p>the writers on the topic. Concluded with the practice of research and according to some authors cited throughout the work that teachers consider that children's literature contributes to the facilitation of school learning as well as being a way of working with children the reality through symbolism, where the child identify with the stories to feel the very embodiment of their children's problems in the characters of the stories.
